Our clients, a couple living in a 2-bedroom apartment in Carlton, came to us with a desire to upgrade to a 3-bedroom home in the Inner North.

The first challenge we faced with them was whether to sell their current property first or buy the new one first. Due to the limited availability of houses on the market, we advised them to wait and find the right home before selling. This approach required we also needed to make sure that their current home was ready to sell.

Getting the property ready for sale

We provided guidance on the best way to present it and organised any necessary repairs and maintenance. We also had local agents appraise the property to ensure that we could move quickly once we found their new home.

Finding the perfect home

With their current property ready for sale, we focused on finding the perfect home for our clients. We were able to help them purchase a beautiful home in Northcote with a 90-day settlement, which gave us ample time to put their apartment on the market.

Coordinating settlements

One of the biggest issues in any real estate transaction is coordinating settlements. However, with careful planning and execution, we were able to synchronise them for both properties to occur on the same day, resulting in a smooth and successful outcome for our clients.

Great outcomes

Strategic planning and careful execution are vital to a successful property transaction. By taking the time to assess the market and develop a comprehensive plan, we were able to help our clients achieve their goals and find their dream home.If you need support to analyse your options and make a confident decision, our Buyers Advocate team is here to help.
